  • •Over the past three decades, Dr. Cheng has made contributions to oral cancer treatments and conducted clinical research in this area of healthcare
  • •Dr. Cheng earned a DDS (Doctor of Dental Surgery) degree from the National
  • •Defense Medical College in Taipei and studied for an MSc degree (Cancer studies in Medical School) at the University of Sheffield in the United Kingdom
  • •Then, Dr. Cheng continued to expand their horizons, achieving a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Tung Hai University in Taichung, Taiwan.
  • •Dr. Cheng completed a rigorous residency program in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Taichung Veterans General Hospital (TCVGH) in Taichung, Taiwan. Today, Dr. Cheng is a valued professional in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in Taichung, Taiwan, and has focused on oral cancer surgery, developing expertise in advanced surgical techniques to treat various stages of oral cancer, where they apply their education, training, and dedication to improving their patients' oral health and well-being.

Prof. Brian Chang

Lecture Title : Revolutionizing Oral and Maxillofacial Reconstruction: Advancing Science and Technology for Personalized Patient Care
  • •Dr. Chang is a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics, a professor, and the Director of Maxillofacial Prosthodontics at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine.
  • •Dr. Chang earned his first DDS degree from Seoul National University School of Dentistry in 1989 and his second DDS from the University of Southern California in 1993. He completed his postdoctoral prosthodontics residency at Northwestern University in Chicago in 1996 and a Maxillofacial Prosthodontics fellowship at Columbia University in New York in 1998.
  • •Dr. Chang's academic career includes positions as an assistant professor at Catholic University of Korea (1998-2000), tenured and serving as the Dr. Merritt C. Pederson Endowed Chair Professor at the University of Nebraska School of Dentistry (2000-2006), Director of the pre-doctoral prosthodontics program at Harvard University School of Dental Medicine (2006-2012), and Head of the Maxillofacial Prosthodontic Clinic and Associate Professor at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner Medical School (2012-2017). Since 2017, he has served as the Director of Maxillofacial Prosthodontics and Director of The Penn Center for Innovative & Personalized Oral Rehabilitation at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and a professor at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine.
  • •Committed to advancing maxillofacial prosthodontics, Dr. Chang provides specialized care for complex reconstructions. His dedication to innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration has driven his involvement in research with leading medical and dental institutions. He also mentors students and faculty, fostering advancements in head and neck reconstruction research.

Lecture Title : Classification and Reconstruction of Temporomandibular Joint Defects
  • •A professor and chief physician in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Peking University School of Stomatology, is also a doctoral supervisor and the head of the department. His professional specialties include oral and maxillofacial trauma and temporomandibular joint surgery. He holds several social positions, including being a standing committee member of the Oral and Maxillofacial Trauma and Orthognathic Surgery Committee of the Chinese Stomatological Association, a committee member of the Temporomandibular Joint Disorders and Occlusion Committee of the Chinese Stomatological Association, an international lecturer and course chair of AOCMF. To date , he has published over 90 papers, including 34 SCI papers as the first or corresponding author, and 10 papers in Chinese core journals. He has also participated in the compilation of 4 monographs and the translation of 2 monographs. He has led 3 national research projects and 2 provincial and ministerial research projects, and has won 5 provincial and ministerial-level science and technology awards.

Dr. Spencer Sil Park

Lecture Title : Overview of NAM (Nasoalveolar Molding Treatment) in Cleft lip and Palate
  • •Dr. Spencer S. Park received his dental degree at Tufts Dental School in Boston and continued his advanced prosthodontics specialty training at UCLA. Upon the completion of his residency, Dr. Park kept pursuing his enhanced specialty training and completed his Maxillofacial Prosthodontics & Oncologic dentistry fellowship at UCLA. During his academic career, he published numerous articles and presentations on osseointegration of implants, BRONJ, and digital dentistry. Until 2018, he also taught as a clinical associate professor at UCLA, teaching dental students and residents in implant and advanced prosthodontics. He currently is focusing on patient treatment and teaching at SP Dental Institute and working for several dental companies as clinical R&D Consultant.

Dr. Spencer Sil Park

Lecture Title : Consideration of Implant Position and Corresponding Prosthetic Design for Hyper-aged Population
  • •Dr. Spencer S. Park received his dental degree at Tufts Dental School in Boston and continued his advanced prosthodontics specialty training at UCLA. Upon the completion of his residency, Dr. Park kept pursuing his enhanced specialty training and completed his Maxillofacial Prosthodontics & Oncologic dentistry fellowship at UCLA. During his academic career, he published numerous articles and presentations on osseointegration of implants, BRONJ, and digital dentistry. Until 2018, he also taught as a clinical associate professor at UCLA, teaching dental students and residents in implant and advanced prosthodontics. He currently is focusing on patient treatment and teaching at SP Dental Institute and working for several dental companies as clinical R&D Consultant.
